A series of skateboard decks for Capital Skateboards, a skate brand from Brasília, Brazil, inspired by the material that built the city: reinforced concrete. The idea was to visually explore the steel rebars inside the concrete that give it strength and structure.
These lines were translated into an abstract “S” shape, creating a graphic element that runs across all boards.
From there, we developed a simple visual system that allows different colorways while keeping the same structure. Each deck features the rider’s name, how long they’ve been skating, and a few core brand elements.
A small system that connects skate culture with Brasília’s architectural roots.
